NOW ON SALE, NEW LOWER PRICE! This old safe/bank is marked well on the bottom. KEY COMBINATION SAFE NO. 43″ “MANUFACTURED BY, THE J & E STEVENS CO. That may not be. It is marked also. “PATD AUG 17, 1897″. So there’s no doubt it is over 113 years old. The 6 photos will show how some of the nickel has worn off from years of children, but it’s still looking pretty nice. Very ornate on all sides, even the top. Cleaning it would probably help it look better, but in over 40+ years, it has not been cleaned. Not found in the Moores Bank Book, but it is ISB 164. 5″ high, 3 1/4″ front to back, and 3 7/8 wide. It sits up straight but the camera was NOT sitting up straight at the time, that’s why the bank looks like it is leaning. Turns but we haven’t messed with it enough to get it open. They made so many neat old toys and banks, and were always fine quality! That’s only fair and all sellers should do it, but they don’t! GUARANTEED OLD AND AUTHENTIC! Please use the checkout.
